Deputy Chairman of Credit Organizations and Financial Markets Committee, Member of National Banking Council of the Russian Federation Central Bank
Anatoly Aksakov has been a State Duma Deputy and Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy and Entrepreneurship since 1999. In 2004, he became Deputy Chairman of Credit Organizations and Financial Markets Committee. He is also a member of the National Banking Council of the Russian Federation Central Bank and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
Over 1994-97, Mr Aksakov worked as Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics, Finance and Law (Cheboksary), and from 1994-97, he Director of Moscow Commercial Bank’s Cheboksary branches. Over 1997-2000, Mr Aksakov held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet and Minister of Economic Affairs of the Chuvash Republic. Several programs were conducted under his supervision, including Chuvashia’s transition to market relations, the program of top-priority measures of 1998 and the medium-term program of social-economic development of Chuvash Republic.
Mr Aksakov is a graduate of the Lomonosov Moscow State University and holds a PhD in economics. He also graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation with qualification “specialist in the filed of international relations”. Mr Aksakov has published around 100 scientific works on economic and social development issues of Chuvashia and Russia.
